Save Me From Silverman
Am I the only person in the world who thinks Sarah Silverman is just not funny? I hate her self-loathing comedy routine. During an interview she was shown an image of herself in Star magazine in one of those best dressed/worst dressed sections. She was in the worst dressed. Instead of being a sport about it or writing it off, she got really defensive like she was back in high school again getting picked on. Get over it!
Reason I bring it up: her new show is horrendous.

I'm not specifically familiar with Sarah Silverman's new show. However, from this picture I think I recognize her as a friend of "Mary" (Cameron Diaz) in There's Something About Mary. If so, she was OK in that (maybe 1 or 2 good lines), but she was only on screen for a few seconds at a time, if I recall correctly.
Sorry I haven't been commenting lately...barely keeping anything going on my own blog. Thanks for posting the Duke rip-off job. Don't even get me started on what I think of Coach K, especially his Chevy commercials during the tournament (cough) unfair recruiting advantage (cough).
ABOVE ALL, CONGRATS ON THE BABY!!! That's excellent!
Hey, haanster! Yeah, I tried to post on your blog recently but I think the new Google switch over wouldn't allow my updated profile to post comments. I know this sounds like I'm back-pedaling here, but it's true!
And for the record, the second episode I watched of Silverman's new show was tremendously better than her first. Anytime "quiefing" is joked about, by a woman, it's even funnier than fart jokes.
Blogger has been behaving badly for weeks now.
My wife and I are expecting a boy (due date June 22), and were discussing names. At this early point, my strategy on those discussions is to listen, not speak (or commit). Like the "rope-a-dope" strategy, I'll let her punch herself out. Then, much later, when she's settled on her 4th or 5th "final" choice, I'll get interested.
Anyway, all of that is by way of saying her friend had suggested "Kiefer," to which my wife replied, "NO WAY! Sounds too much like 'quiefer.'" 12 or 13 years into knowing her, and that's the first time I've heard her use the term...and, here I thought we were running out of milestones!
Congratulations!
I guess the first-born is the easiest to come up with names for. After a few pop out, I'd imagine you start settling for names that don't spell obscene initials.
