Say Anything

It's always nice when you make a movie connection- an actor in some movie you recognize played in a really old movie. It's strangely (for me) even far more interesting when I find a connection that I should have known but discovered through http://www.imdb.com

I was watching "Say Anything" and discovered the father (John Mahoney) played Martin Crane in the TV series Frasier. Why didn't I see this?

I haven't seen Say Anything in years. But, doesn't Mahoney have darker hair in it (at least a darker gray)? That might've thrown you...

I like that guy, by the way. He was in a decent '80s comedy (Barry Levinson directed) called Tin Men, about aluminum siding salesmen, with Dreyfus and DeVito.

Also, he was good in the Richard Gere "thriller" Primal Fear, a film remarkable mainly for the "discovery" of Edward Norton, as I recall.

Speaking of Edward Norton, I watched the Illusionist on my flight to SLC, UT last night. Very entertaining!

I still need to see it.
